Everywhere is beautiful. Even the ugly bits are
beautiful.
You can find interest, beauty and excitement
from St. Tropez at one
end of the Riviera to Ventimille
at the other.

In between you will find:

Inland there is:

Vence
(Not to be confused with St. Paul de Vence! It's a different town.
Honest.)

Locally Near the Site: (all within 5 minutes walk of the gate)
Marineland The second biggest visitor attraction in France after Disney - allegedly!
Antibesland fun fair, big wheel, roller coasters, sideshows, food and drink. Fun for kids of any age. Jill likes the grabbers!
Gabby's Beach Hut. No link but good burgers on the beach.
Aquasplash with a wave pool and 12 slides.
La Ferme du Far West. A petting zoo and more. Never been. Love to know what you think.
La Siesta. Full sizes Casino with restaurants and dance floors. Fireworks at times. Lose your shirt!
L'Ile Magique aux Oiseaux; a collection of colourful birds. Feedback please!
la Jungle des Papillons. Butterflies in a hothouse. I went. There were butterflies in a hothouse!
Adventure Golf. Crazy golf course. Ordinary golf is crazy enough for me!
Glass Blowing at La Verrerie de Biot . Biot is a centre for glass blowing. See them work and buy their wares. There was a scandal a few years ago when it was alleged that all that was on sale had not been made there!! You may have to walk fast to get here in 5 mins!
Go Karts. Good Kart track behind Antibesland.

Many Superb
Art Galleries:
The
Peynet Museum in Antibes is brilliant. Peynet, Picasso and
humour.
The Fernand
Léger Museum on the right on the way up to Biot is
fantastic, we are told. Just re-opened after 4 years of
renovations.
The
Picasso museum in Antibes is good ... or was! Shut for
maintenance until July 19, 2008.
The
Renoir Museum at Cagnes sur Mer is something we've never been
to but at least it appears to be open!
I could go on for ever. There are so many
interesting places. More
info here. Or here. |
