Ferry?
They are all good, better and faster than they
used to be.
Norfolk Line was cheapest for us at
£50 return for two people and car between Dover and
Dunkerque, booked several months in advance. Food in the restaurant was
awful! May have been a bad day...

Or Tunnel?

|
Nick tells me it can be cheap. He found tickets,
recently, in the early morning or late at night at £49 each
way. Quite a bit more at peak time and an open ticket can be very
expensive.
The great thing about the tunnel is speed. It
takes about 35 minutes to cross.

Pick a motorway, any motorway:

|
| |
To Find the Site;
Take the A8
towards Antibes until Exit 46 to Demi-échangeur de Bouches
du Loup, signposted Bouches du Loup / Villeneuve-Loubet-Plage. The D241.
At the
roundabout take the first exit and then the N7 towards Antibes. After 3
kilometres take the first exit off the roundabout signposted Biot - The
D4.
Take the first
road on the left (Avenue de Mozart). At the end of this road turn right
and the entrance to the camp site is on your left.
Motorways
are rarely crowded, often pretty with good service stations.
Costs about £50 in tolls from Calais
to Antibes. distance about 750 miles. (15 hours driving time
approximately.) Avoid first weekend in August and July.
Cheap hotels near every motorway exit in many
towns include (cheapest first): Formule 1, Ibis, Premier Classe,
Campanile. Prices from £20 to £50 B&B.
Always clean, mostly en suite, friendly and Campanile food is great.
If you feel adventurous you can find some
wonderful experiences by avoiding the hotel chains by coming off the
motorway and stopping at the first hotel, boarding house, pension or
B&B on the right. We've found some great places doing this and
one or two awful ones!!
