Dave Lindley is the person to ask. He can take you and the family anywhere you want to go. His prices are very reasonable. I need to declare an interest here. He's a friend! Nice bloke. Nice wife. Speaks French.    Buses are super - Air conditioned, friendly, regular and slow in summer. No late night runs. (Except in high season.) Catch the 200 which runs past the site, every 20 minutes (in theory), between Cannes and Nice. Every 30 mins on Sundays and bank holidays. Bus number 10 goes from Antibes, past the site and up to Biot and Valbonne. A beautiful run. Bus number 23 goes from Antibes past the site and on to Villeneuve Loubet and a little way beyond to Colle sur Loup. (Sorry. Not been there, so no link. But we'll go! Let me know if you do.) Stop Press: The buses all charge 1 € for almost any distance. Fantastic value.     Taxis. No. Do not even think about it. They are all modern Mercedes and hugely, take a mortgage, you must be joking.. expensive! Best bet is have a word with the security people on the gate. They may be able to help with late night runs into and out of the local nite spots at reasonable prices. Don't tell anyone I told you! If there are a few of you, it may be an option, but, negotiate the price before you get in and watch out for ROT*. *Rip Off Tax - like VAT (TVA in France, as they're dyslexic) but more expensive. However, not as expensive as ROTT**. **Rip off Tourist Tax - 17.5% more expensive than ROT     Trains are great - Fastish, regular in summer but long siestas at times. Local trains stop at every station most of the time. Check this. Can run even at night. The timetable for local trains can be found here. Print it out and take it with you?   Car hire is easy from the airport. Expect to pay around £150 per week. Good places to find them: I have used both of these. Cheap. They get the job done.... but read the small print and don't trust the bu**ers as far as you can throw 'em! Good idea to use that digital camera. Photo the car from all sides when you return it to their compound. (Have I got too American?) Hire a pedal bike on site or go here for motorbikes or pedals. I haven't tried any of these so beware the small print.   By sea. Good way to go. Curiously I can arrange this too!   Spacecraft, submarines and teleportation are extras... These could test me but I like a challenge!
