These are some of the questions people ask. You can search them using the box above.

1. I have a six year old and a ten year old. Is the site suitable for them?

Certainly is! There's dancing, kareoke, swimming pool, kiddies pool, playground and  fishing on site. There's a fun fair, water park and Marineland within a 5 minute walk.

2. Do we have to book Saturday to Saturday?

Usually no but some people will only take bookings Saturday to Saturday during July and August.

3. How much deposit must I pay?

Usually £50 to £70 or equivalent in euros.

4. Do they do airport transfers?

Yep! € 30 for up to five people, one way.

5. Can I hire Bed linen, towels, etc.?

Certainly! Also cots and high chairs. Please bring your own towels and tea towels.

6. Can I hire BBQ, Fan, Iron, Blankets, Hair dryer, Microwave, Fridge, Full Cooker, Shower, etc.?

No Need. All these are provided.

7. How do I buy a Mobile Home at Camp du Pylone?

You can only buy a mobile home from Madame Claire Cohen who owns the site. She's lovely. Contact her, she speaks excellent English, Italian, French and German, on camping.pylone@wanadoo.fr or 0033 493 33 52 86.

The waiting list is currently four years.

8. Can you provide a cot and a high chair?

Cot yes. High chair no. Sorry.

9. How many people can a mobile home sleep?

Officially four people but a family of two adults and three young children is OK as long as one of the children is a under 5.

10. After the rent what other payments do we have to make?

€ 50 euro deposit which you will get back at the end of your holiday when you leave the van as you found it. You'd do that anyway, I know.

11. Do I need to hire a car?

Pro's:

  • a car is very convenient

  • You don't have to pay the airport transfer

  • You can get to the supermarket

  • You can travel inland

  • You can get back to the site late at night when buses don't run

Con's:

  • Public transport is excellent and the buses are every 20 mins (30 mins on Sundays) and cheap. €1.00 a trip of any length

  • You can get everything you need at the camp shop or restaurant 

  • You worry that you'll bend it. Costs between €800 and €1000 if you've taken out the waiver. More, a lot more, if you haven't

  • It's expensive - €180 for a small 4 seater, per week

  • parking isn't cheap

Ask the people you book with.
